Arc News is a program of the Global Arclight Society, a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN: 39-2575582). We believe your data is yours. We collect the bare minimum to make the product work, and we don't sell, share, or monetize your information. Ever.

What we collect

• Email address — to create your account and send you pack reports if you opt in
• Hashed password — we never store your actual password, only a bcrypt hash
• Deck order — which hounds you've arranged and in what order
• Saved stories — stories you've bookmarked
• Custom hound prompts — the search prompts you create for your personalized hounds
• Digest preferences — your email digest settings (frequency, time, selected hounds)

What we don't do

• No tracking — no analytics, no pixel tracking, no fingerprinting
• No ads — we don't serve ads and never will
• No data sales — your data is never sold to third parties
• No behavioral profiling — we don't build profiles of your reading habits
• No third-party analytics — no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, nothing

Third-party services

• Stripe — processes membership payments. We never see your card number.
• Resend — sends transactional emails (password resets, digest emails)
• Neon — hosts our database (PostgreSQL)
• Vercel — hosts the application
• Google OAuth — if you sign in with Google, we receive your email and name only

Data deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. This permanently removes all your data — account info, saved stories, custom hounds, and preferences. There is no recovery once deleted.

Cookies

We use a single authentication cookie (arc_token) to keep you logged in. That's it. No tracking cookies, no third-party cookies, no cookie banners needed.
